Forest Honey - Raw – Pure, Unfiltered & Never Heated
Dark • Rich • Mineral-Rich • Raw & Unheated
Our Forest Honey is a naturally dark, full-bodied honey produced by our treatment-free honey bees in the forests and woodlands of Southern Indiana.
Unlike lighter floral honeys, dark forest honey can contain higher concentrations of minerals, antioxidants, and plant-derived compounds. Its deep color and bold flavor reflect the diverse nectar and other natural plant sources available to the bees throughout our wooded landscape.
Our Forest Honey measured 1,104 µS/cm electrical conductivity, a notably high reading that reflects its naturally high concentration of dissolved minerals, organic acids, and other constituents.
What Makes Dark Honey Special?
Dark honeys are often valued for their:
• Higher mineral content compared with many lighter honeys
•Naturally occurring antioxidants and polyphenols
• Richer concentration of plant compounds
• Deep, robust flavor
• Traditional use for soothing the throat and supporting general wellness
• Natural enzymes and beneficial compounds found in raw honey
From Our Treatment-Free Hives
Our bees are raised without chemical hive treatments and are never fed sugar water for honey production. We allow them to forage naturally from the diverse plants, trees, and wild areas surrounding their hives.
Our honey is never heated or pasteurized and is only lightly strained, helping preserve the pollen, enzymes, aroma, flavor, and other naturally occurring components of raw honey.
Because this is a natural, seasonal product, color and flavor may vary from harvest to harvest. That variation is part of what makes truly local honey unique.

Do not feed honey to infants under 12 months of age. Raw honey may naturally crystallize over time. Crystallization does not mean the honey has spoiled.
